Derek Tibbatts is a neighboring grain producer who lives to do two things. One is to plant a crop every spring and the other is to shoot the ducks and geese before they eat it all! Derek will be leading our morning goose shoots before he returns to his own farm to continue with harvest and to scout birds for the next day. Derek has also agreed to set aside his entire 10,000 acre farm for clients of Prairie Lake Lodge only.

Jeff Kostuik has been hunting waterfowl in the area since he was 12 years old. Jeff will be spending most of his time in the blind or on the water with you, calling or helping to call and flag birds.

Derryl Moulson another long time hunter, will make sure all goes smooth by entertaining you in the field and slough. Moully and his chocolate lab “Buxley” are a great, hard working team that will compliment your hunting experience.

Kirk Lyttle Never short of a story, Kirk has either hunted, ski-doo’d, or driven a motor-bike in and around every pothole and field within a 200 mile radius of the family farm.

The Russell area likely has 5-6 serious local waterfowl hunters in the area….with Prairie Lake Lodge and Outfitters 4 of them will be your guides. (the other 2 are related) Nobody knows the people (or the birds) and the area like these local boys.
