A Little Bit About Us…
Prairie Lake Lodge and Outfitters is a family owned operation of the Keating family near the town of Russell in the province of Manitoba. Gerald Keating and his brother Lyle were born and raised in the area and have operated several successful business operations in the local area for over fifty years. Lyle’s life has been devoted to farming. Over the years, both Lyle and Gerald have acquired a significant land base that has been used mainly in the production of grains and oilseeds. We are currently operating over 7000 acres of land within a ten mile radius of our farm yard. Gerald’s main line of business for many years was road construction and excavation operating as Keating Brothers Ltd. Keating Brothers Ltd. has built many of the roads connecting one end of our farm to the other.
How Are We Different from Other Outfitters?
The outfitting business is competitive. Everybody offers "the fishing trip of a lifetime."
